Dear NiceDay,

Hello NiceDay! It’s been almost exactly two years since we spoke. In those two years I’m proud of the connections I’ve made creatively here in Charlotte. Through selling upcycled clothing and designing for local businesses, I feel so connected to this city and the people I’ve met here. Since you’ve seen my portfolio before, I dedicated this page to some newer work and passion projects I’ve done.

These are videos I’ve made to promote my artwork, reworked clothes, and my general message to make and wear things that make you feel good.

Creative Endeavors

These were projects I self assigned in the name of creative development. Often these are things I do in my day to day life where I wanted to push myself further to add a creative angle to them.

One Ingredient Dinner.

Inspired by the growing seasons in a garden. How one day you walk up to a plot and it’s absolutely overrun with a specific fruit or vegetable because all of the plants sprouted seemingly overnight.

The menu was designed by me, utilizing photographed kale from my garden, and textured paint from one of my paintings. I also made all of the food listed here as a fun way to experimenting with the abundance of kale I had.

Craft Club.

I started a craft club with people that I met through markets/popups around Charlotte. We try to meet roughly once a month and either have a focused craft session where someone teaches the group about a craft, or we have open craft sessions where people bring whatever they’re working on and enjoy the community of the club.

This has been a beautiful experience getting to know other creatives and small business owners better. I organize every event with the input of what people say they’re interested in doing. The group slowly grows as we invite others that we think could benefit from this little community.
